The Kenora District Services Board (KDSB) will be at the Toronto Metro Hall on July 22nd for the Canada Job Expo. Our Early Years staff will be on-site to share a day in the life working as a Registered Early Childhood Educator or Child Care Worker in an Early Learning Centre in Northwestern Ontario and why choosing a career in the Kenora District to start or continue your career is the right choice. We are excited to recruit new Early Childhood Educators who are dedicated to improving everyday lives.
The KDSB serves as the Service System Manager, supporting third-party Early Learning and Child Care operators while also directly delivering Early Learning and Child Care programs across the Kenora District, which includes nine municipalities and four unincorporated territories. This region offers countless outdoor recreation opportunities, freshwater lakes and rivers to explore, and wilderness adventures to discover all year-round.
The cost of living in the Kenora District is significantly lower than in other parts of Ontario. Housing is particularly affordable, providing comfortable living options at a fraction of the cost found in larger cities. Despite the lower cost of living, wages in the region remain competitive, providing residents a higher quality of life.
Throughout the Kenora District, individuals can access full-time, permanent employment opportunities while working toward their Diploma in Early Childhood Education. Grants are available to help support costs.
If you are looking to start or continue a career in Early Childhood Education and play a vital role in shaping the foundational years of a child’s early learning journey, The Kenora District Services Board can help you turn that goal into reality.
Join us at the Canada Job Expo to learn how you can explore this great opportunity.
